Netflix has announced dates for its upcoming fall animated films, with plans to release new films to the streaming platform every week for the remainder of 2021. New animated films and specials slated for fall 2021 include the highly anticipated My Little Pony: a new generation and two new specials from Bristol's Aardman Animations.

My Little Pony: A New Generation: September 24, 2021
My Little Pony: a new generation is a computer animated film that will usher in the fifth incarnation of the popular franchise on September 24, 2021. My Little Pony: a new generation is directed by Robert Cullen and José Ucha while animated by Boulder Media. The film sees Equestria completely divided, but will see a new generation of ponies set out on a mission to fix things. The cast includes Sofia Carson, Vanessa Hudgens, Liza Koshy and Kimiko Glenn.

Back to the Outback is a computer-animated musical adventure film due out in December 2021. Written by Harry Cripps and directed by Cripps and Clare Knight, the film follows a group of animals including a koala and a snake who are ready to escape from the reptile house in they currently live in. Tired of being seen by humans, they decided to return to the Australian Outback. The cast of the film includes Isla Fisher, Eric Bana and Guy Pearce.
