Almost a year since the publishing house Les Éditions Albert René (Hachette Livre) and Netflix announced their partnership to develop a new 3D CG animated series based on the famous comic book character Asterix by the authors René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo. Companies have welcomed TAT to address this adaptation. The Toulouse, France firm is launching a large recruiting campaign to hire some 200 graphic designers and increase its workforce to XNUMX employees.

Since its debut in 1959, each new Asterix the printed volume or screen appearance has been eagerly awaited by fans around the world, from generation to generation. More than 385 million copies of the Asterix the books have been sold, translated into 111 languages ​​and dialects, and since 1967 a total of 14 feature films have been distributed, including 10 cartoons and four live-action films.

Alain Chabat, who wrote and directed the 2002 hit live-action film Asterix and Obelix: Cleopatra Mission, is making his animated series debut as the writer and director of the new project. (Cleopatra mission was the most successful of Asterix's many big screen appearances, earning the fifth highest box office score of all time for a French film.) BAFTA nominee Alain Goldman (La Vie en Rose, Babylon AD) is producing the series.
