The Blue Thermal Glider Club manga will have an anime movie next March

Toei announced the production of an anime film adaptation of the manga Blue Thermal Glider Club di  Kana ozawa -Aonagi Daigaku Taiiku-kai Kōkū-bu- (Aonagi College Sports Festival Aviation Club) which will be released in theaters in Japan in March 2022.

The cast of the film includes:

Mayu hotta as the protagonist Tamaki Tsuru
Nobunaga Shimazaki as a member of the Jun Kuramochi glider club

Junya Enoki as a member of the Daisuke Sorachi glider club

Masaki tachibana (Tokyo magnitude 8.0, Barakamon, Princess Principal) is directing the film by Animated telecommunication films, and he's also writing the script together Natsuko Takahashi . Toei is distributing the film.

The manga centers on Tamaki Tsuru, who has been a part of sports teams all her school life until high school, but is instead looking for an active romantic life once she enters college. However, a turn of events puts her on the way to joining her university's glider club in college.

The manga was published in the magazine  Monthly Comic @Bunch di Shinchosha from April 2014 to November 2017, and Shichosha has published five volumes of books compiled for the manga (the fifth volume of the manga mentions that only the "first part" of the story is over).

The manga had previously inspired a 12-minute virtual reality film titled  Blue Thermal VR - Hajimari no Sora - which debuted in July 2018.
