The new short film “Welcome to the Club” by The Simpsons makes fun of one of the Disney villains

Another new short film from the de universe The Simpsons will introduce at least one of Disney Animation's most beloved villains to Springfield, as revealed in the official poster released today. The Simpsons: Welcome to the Club will debut as a streaming exclusive for Disney + Day on September 8.

The official logline reads: "Heart determined to be a princess, Lisa Simpson is surprised to learn that being evil could be more fun."

The poster shows Lisa (voiced by Yeardley Smith in the long series) enjoying a moment of Thelma & Louise (complete with '66 teal Ford Thunderbird) riding a rifle with Ursula, the sea witch attempting to  La sirenetta  (1989) by Disney. .

Emmy-winning actress Pat Carroll, who voiced Ursula for the animated film directed by John Musker and Ron Clements, died in July at the age of 95. It was not revealed whether Carroll registered for  Welcome to the Club; Details of the cast and crew have yet to be announced.

Welcome to the Club joins other special gods Simpson  on Disney +, including  When Billie Met Lisa  with Billie Eilish; The awakening of the force from his nap , inspired by  Star Wars ; and  plusversary , which was released on the occasion of the streamer's first birthday.
