The new trailer "Unicorn Wars" the film by Alberto Vazquez

We have a new trailer for Unicorn Wars, the latest film from the acclaimed graphic novelist and animation director  Alberto Vázquez  ( Birdboy ,  Homeless Home, Decorated ), which premiered in Annecy last week. Produced by UniKo, Abano Producións and Autour de Minuit, the film tells the terrible war between religious fanatic teddy bears and environmental unicorns.

“Then, in 2013, we made the short film  UnicornBlood  based on this comic. And finally, the film was made  Unicorn Wars  . This same process happened in my previous project,  Psychiconautas  ( Birdboy: The Forgotten Children ) and I thought it might be a good idea to do the same, use what I think is a good idea and work on it as a basis, but have the freedom to make some changes along the way. Furthermore, the passage of time also allows history to mature and help evolve the artistic finish ".

He added: “I like to create small universes, choral works with many characters in which we are presented with a world with its own rules. It seemed to me that the short film  UnicornBlood  had many thematic and narrative possibilities and I decided to extend it. Either way, the short film is just a seed to start working on, since the ideas, plots and themes of  Unicorn Wars  they are different, even if I think the essence of the short film is still maintained ”.

The film will premiere in Spanish cinemas in October.
