Netflix has unveiled the official trailer and key art for the next series of animated events Maya and the Three Warriors (Maya and the Three), by creator, director and executive producer Jorge R. Gutiérrez and creative consultant Sandra Equihua. The nine-chapter fantasy adventure inspired by Aztec, Maya and Inca mythology, as well as modern Caribbean culture, will take place on October 22.

In a fantasy world, where magic transforms the world and four kingdoms rule the lands, a brave and rebellious warrior princess named Maya (voiced by Zoe Saldaña) is about to celebrate her XNUMXth birthday and coronation. But everything changes when the gods of the underworld arrive and announce that Maya's life is a prisoner of the God of War (Alfred Molina), a price she has to pay for her family's secret past. If Maya refuses, the whole world will suffer the revenge of the gods. To save her beloved family, friends and her own life, Maya embarks on an exciting quest to fulfill an ancient prophecy that foretells the arrival of three great warriors who will help her defeat the gods and save humanity. .

Maya and the Three Warriors (Maya and the Three) features an original score composed by the duo of Oscar- and Grammy-winning composer Gustavo Santaolalla and Grammy-nominated composer Tim Davies. The soundtrack will be available on October 22 from Milan Records.

The series is co-produced by Silvia Olivas and the head of the story Jeff Ranjo, produced by Tim Yoon and the line produced by Lilly Sechrist. The consulting producers are Candie Kelty Langdale and Doug Langdale, who also work as screenwriters alongside Gutiérrez and Olivas.
