History

Catarina Claes, the young daughter of a noble family, one day hits her head and finds memories of her past life as an otaku. It is then that she realizes that she has been reborn in the world of the otome video game Fortune Lovers as the villain of the game who, regardless of the path the player took in the original game, is doomed to be exiled or killed. To avoid these paths that lead to misfortune, Catarina begins to take countermeasures. This, however, ends up having unexpected consequences on his relationships with other characters in the game world.

Characters

Catarina Claes  A 17-year-old schoolgirl / otaku who reincarnated as the game's villain character Fortune Lovers after being hit by a car on her way to school. Have extensive knowledge of Fortune Lovers, including the fact that all paths in the game lead to his death or exile, takes drastic measures to avoid such outcomes, such as trying to establish good relationships with his peers and taking up the profession of gardening if his exile were to come. . Her gentle nature leads many of the other characters to fall in love with her, but she is generally oblivious to their affections. Although he has attempted to learn magic, the only magic he can perform is to create bumps in the ground. In later volumes of the series, she gains a familiar darkness attribute she calls Pochi, which allows her to become a clerk in the Department of Magic alongside Maria. Catarina also learns that Catarina Claes' character would be returning as the villain for the sequel video game Fortune Lover II , in which Catarina will use dark magic to seek revenge against Maria for being banished. He discovers this through dreams and a piece of paper outlining the game's basic storyline and love interests that was hidden in a book he received from Sophia. She was given the nickname "Bakarina" by fans due to her forgetfulness, using the Japanese word "baka" in place of the first syllables of her name.

George Stuart A prince who became Catarina's boyfriend after inadvertently tripping and injuring her, forcing him to take responsibility. In the game, Catarina uses this to her advantage to monopolize it for herself. In the good ending, he exiles Catarina and marries the protagonist, while the bad ending makes him kill Catarina and abandon the heroine to blame. Thanks to Catarina's continued efforts to improve herself and avoid the bad end, she has now developed genuine feelings for her and continually tries to show her affection by confirming their engagement. However, he is overlooked by Catarina's dense persona, much to his chagrin.

Keith Claes Catarina's adoptive brother and prodigy of earthly magic. In the game, Catarina mistreated him, causing him to grow up to be a womanizer. In the good ending, he exiles Catarina and abandons her womanizing ways to be with the protagonist, while the bad ending makes him kill his sister in a fit of rage before disappearing. To avoid these endings, Catarina goes to great lengths to be a good sister to him, which improves their relationship, but also assigns Keith the thankless task of keeping Catarina out of trouble, mostly to no avail. It also appears to be a hindrance to Geordo's attempts to get closer to Catarina as he himself has feelings for her.

Alan Stuart Geordo's twin brother and Mary's boyfriend. He was jealous of his more talented brother, which made him an introvert. In the game, Catarina doesn't actually appear in her path, as Mary serves as a rival character instead. After Catarina becomes friends with Mary, she gets angry at how she constantly ignores him in her favor. This leads him to challenge Catarina to a series of races, which she easily wins. Over time, however, he and Catarina become friends and his relationship with his brother also improves. He is also a skilled pianist and his recitals are not only sought after, but he has a large fan club with many of the women of his nobility. Although he has a crush on Catarina, he has yet to realize these feelings due to Mary's interference.

Nicol Ascart Geordo and Alan's childhood friend and Sophia's brother. He is considered beautiful by all who see him, with a smile that can charm both males and females. Details about her history in the game are scarce, since Catarina never played her path. Not only this, but the main rival in her path is Sophia Ascart, her younger sister since she is quite overprotective towards her. Despite this, though, he seems to have developed a crush on Catarina after she convinced him to open up with

she.
