The trailer for the adult series “Chicago Party Aunt” on Netflix

Netflix shared the official debut trailer and preview for its next series Chicago Party Aunt. The adult animated comedy was inspired by the Chicago Party Aunt Twitter account and follows lead characters “Diane and Daniel as they navigate work, family, romance, and most importantly, how to have fun in the best damn city in the world. The series will premiere on Netflix on Friday September 17 and will contain eight half-hour episodes.

Here is the official synopsis: “Diane Dunbrowski has been the life of the party in her beloved hometown since the 80s and she has no plans to give up the reins anytime soon. What she lacks in her abilities to grow up, she makes up for with her heart of gold and stubbornly loyal determination to her family and friends. However, it's clear that Diane has to adapt to the rapidly changing world around her, unless she wants to become a relic of the past like her favorite Spuds McKenzie poster. Fortunately, his favorite (and only) nephew, Daniel, postpones university and decides to leave the suburbs and live with his aunt in the big city. She is Daniel's fairy godmother, ready to entertain him, and he is his guide through the often insidious dangers of modernity that moves beneath her every day ”.

Chicago Party Aunt was created by Chris Witaske, Jon Barinholtz and Katie Rich and animated by Titmouse. Witaske, Barinholtz, Rich, Ike Barinholtz, Dave Stassen, Will Gluck, Richie Schwartz, Chris Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, Ben Kalina and Matt Craig are executive producers. The voice cast includes Lauren Ash, Rory O'Malley, RuPaul Charles, Jill Talley, Ike and Jon Barinholtz, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Katie Rich and Chris Witaske.
