“Aliens in my backpack” a new series on respect for the environment is starting

SMF (Soyuzmultfilm) Studio, the oldest and most prestigious Russian production company, has signed a strategic collaboration with the world leaders of animation Toonz Media Group to co-produce a brand new animated series: Aliens in My Backpack (Aliens in my backpack).

The series Aliens in My Backpack (Aliens in my backpack) was created by Rob Lee and James Driscoll, the creators of the series Fireman Sam and the BAFTA-nominated, World Award-winning animated series for children The Shoe People (The shoe people).

This new CGI series brings to life a family of characters from a distant planet with perfect ecological settings. These aliens are on a mission to share their secrets with Earth and make our planet greener.

Production will be handled by Toonz and Soyuzmultfilm Studios, with the partnership responsible for video distribution, licensing and merchandising. The deal was negotiated by former Toonz Media Group Disney and EVP executive Paul Robinson.

“The partnership with Toonz is a significant milestone for SMF Studio's growth, as one of our strategic goals is to establish our company in the international market,” said Yuliana Slascheva, Chairman of the Board of SMF. “Both of our companies have powerful creative potential and Toonz has an indisputable track record in global content promotion. The main reason for this collaboration are, of course, the values that the animated series introduces to the public: animation is the best way to convey complicated issues to children with simple language “.

P. Jayakumar, CEO of Toonz Media Group, said: “We are delighted to be collaborating with a studio with such a long tradition as Soyuzmultfilm. For Toonz, this is a very exciting project as it supports the universal value of environmental conservation, which involves children and families from all over the world “.
