Trailer: Fully animated "Diary of a Sucker" debuts on Disney + in December

Disney + today released the trailer for Diary of a Wimpy Kid, the brand new fully animated adventure based on the first book in Jeff Kinney's world best-selling series. Arriving just in time for the holiday season, fans can enjoy the adventures of their favorite middle school misfit characters when the film premieres on December 3.

Greg Heffley is a skinny but ambitious boy with an active imagination and big plans to become rich and famous: first he just has to survive middle school. To make matters worse, Greg Rowley's adorable best friend, seems to go through life and succeed in everything without even trying! As the details of his hilarious - and often disastrous - attempts to adapt fill the pages of his diary, Greg learns to appreciate true friends and the satisfaction that comes from standing up for what's right.

Directed by Swinton Scott (Futurama) and written and produced by Jeff Kinney, Diary of a Wimpy Kid features the voices of Brady Noon (The Mighty Ducks: Game Changes) as Greg Heffley, Ethan William Childress (mixed-ish) as Rowley Jefferson and Chris Diamantopoulos (Silicon Valley) like Frank Heffley.
