The Chinese animated film "Jiang Ziya: Legend Of Deification"

Chinese animated feature film Jiang Ziya: Legend Of Deification will hit theaters in North America and China on October 1. This marks the start of the country's National Day Golden Week festivities. The long-awaited film, originally scheduled to air on January 25, the first day of the Chinese New Year, has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Well Go Use distributes the Stateside film.

Directed by Teng Cheng and Wei Li, the 110-minute feature is the sequel to the international blockbuster Do zha and the second chapter in the Fengshen cinematic universe. It is described as a "challenging and action-packed legendary tale, told through lively Chinese animation".

Here is the official synopsis: To earn his place among the gods, the commander of the celestial army Jiang Ziya must defeat a terrifying fox demon, which threatens the very existence of the mortal kingdom. But after learning that the creature's fate is tied to that of a young girl, Jiang Ziya faces an impossible choice: Can he sacrifice one to save many?

Beijing Enlight Pictures' previous film Do zha, topped China's box office rankings last year and grossed over $ 726 million worldwide.

Legend of Deification  is a Chinese 3D computer animated film about the fantasy adventure genre, directed by Cheng Teng and Li Wei in 2020. Featuring the famous Chinese mythological figure Jiang Ziya, the plot is loosely based on the classic novel The investiture of the gods , attributed to Xu Zhonglin. It is the sequel to Do zha of 2019 and the second episode of Fengshen Cinematic Universe .
