Plot
Simmerdeis wurke de mier hurd en sparre foarrieden foar de winter. Ynstee die de sikade de hiele dei neat as sjongen. De winter kaam der oan en de mier hie wat te iten, om't er simmerdeis in protte iten opboude hie. De sikade bigoun de honger te fielen, dat hy gie nei de mier om te freegjen oft er har wat te iten jaan koe. De mier frege har: "Ik haw hurd wurke om dit alles te sammeljen; ynstee, wat hawwe jo dien yn 'e simmer?" "Ik song," antwurde de sikade. De mier rôp doe: "Dus no dûnsje!"
Moraal: wa't neat docht, krijt neat.
