HYBRIS COMICS

In August it opened hybriscomics.com, the new site of comics and comics culture. The intentions of the online publishing house are to offer quality products in PDF format, downloadable for a fee (the cost is very low, € 1,19 is the price of each episode, which has at least 22 pages and can be paid by postpay card or credit card). It is a bet, not only of an economic nature, but has its origins in the passion and respect of the founders of Hybris, for the popular culture that comics embody by now. for a century. The idea of the project was born in Massimo Spiga, young screenwriter, graphic designer and web enthusiast, who manages to infect even the great Bepi Vineyard, the creator of Nathan Never, his first experience with comics proposals designed specifically for online. Another adventure companion is Elizabeth Randaccio, film critic and media scholar. The three would like to give space not only to authors, designers and colorists, already professionals in the sector, present with their works at Hybris, but also to talented beginners who do not have, due to the various problems that afflict the paper publishing of comics, the opportunity to tell their stories and highlight their talents.
In addition to the section dedicated to comics proposals (this month you can find the first episode of an original miniseries by Roberto Randaccio, Rain dog, and the first appointment with short stories, that is the anthology Hibris Jam, which presents, among other things, , a story of Vineyard e Gabos - The life of Nedo Hermill - and two of the founder of the publishing house, Massimo Spiga, entitled Dallas kills me and Rumore), Hybriscomics has an interesting section aimed at deepening characters, genres and problems of the history of "cloud" art. This is Hybrismedia, where you can read articles (edited by Elisabetta Randaccio and Bepi Vigna), hear and see interviews with relevant characters from the world of comics. The authors hope to always be in close contact with their audience. In this sense, a blog has been activated and a discussion forum will be opened soon. But Hybriscomics' ambition is to appeal to an audience that goes beyond our borders. Thus, in the coming weeks, the Spanish and English version of the site will be available.
