Bakugan Battle Brawlers is a 52-part Japanese animated series produced by TMS Entertainment, which aired between April 5, 2007 and March 27, 2008 on TV Tokyo. Despite the series' weak success in Japan, it became popular in North America. three additional seasons, co-produced with Nelvana, air between April 2009 and January 2012.
A manga derived series called BakuTech! Bakugan is published between 2010 and 2014 by Shogakukan. It is adapted into two animation series between April 2012 and December 2013.
The series tells of a day when, cards started falling from the sky and were collected by children all over the world. These cards featured different characters, different environments, and different powers. The children then came up with a popular battle game, but they didn't know that these cards actually corresponded to an alternate world called Vestroia. Children around the world played with these cards when six children emerged: Dan, Marucho, Runo, Shun, Julie, and Alice. They called the monsters "Bakugan" and their group "The Bakugan Team".
Vestroia is a vast dimension comprising six attribute worlds: Fire (Piran), Earth (Subterra), Light (Haos), Dark (Darkus), Water (Aquos) and Wind (Ventus). At the center of this universe are two opposites: the core of infinity, the source of all positive energy, and the core of silence, the source of all negative energy. Since the beginning of time, these two opposing forces have maintained a balance on Vestroia.
However, a vile Bakugan who wanted to take control tried to grab all the power. His name was Naga and his mission was to penetrate the core of silence and infinity to seize their powers and become the master of the world. Dan, as well as his team, will attempt to annihilate Naga and replace the two cores in the center of Vestroia to restore balance in this universe. However, Naga is not the only obstacle in this whole story
