Episode 1: A little serious dog
Aika Morimura is a sentimental girl who is in eighth grade. The origins of his father are unknown because he died in a shipwreck 10 years ago. Aika moves to her Uncle Fujinami's house with her beloved puppy Puppy, as her mother, a hat designer, is suddenly called to Paris. But Puppy is run over and dies. Just then, a very peculiar dog appears, named Spank who, despite being a bit stupid and not exactly attractive, has a good character. Her funny personality brings a smile back to Aika's lips. Although Spank is truly a strange dog, thanks to him Aika finds the hope and enthusiasm to face the future.

Episode 2: I came back to you
Aika begins her new life at her uncle's house and struggles with Spank's mistakes. However, he manages to make friends with his classmates Ryo and Shinako. One day Rei Ikegami, the younger brother of the owner of Spank, goes to get the dog back. Spank is brought back to Tokyo and spends his days boringly without any enthusiasm. Then, one fine day, a package from Aika arrives, containing Spank's forgotten backpack. This event brings to mind the memories of the days spent with Aika, and so Spank decides to leave her home and return to her. So he will get on the trains, hitchhike and, in the end, will be able to reach Aika ...

Episode 3: One student too many
For Aika the new semester of school begins, happy that Ryo and Shinako are in the same class as her, even though there is also a rich and bad girl. Aika catches a cold because of Spank, and has to be absent the second day after starting school. Spank feels responsible and decides to go to school in his place, but unwittingly makes a series of mistakes and creates chaos in the classroom. This is why he doesn't feel like facing Aika and starts thinking about leaving.
