NAPLES COMICON

XI edition 24/25/26 April 2009

ALAN DAVIS AT COMICON!

After the announced presence of the great Tanino Liberatore, who made this year's manifesto as you know, here are the first advances of the great guests at the Neapolitan Salone.
For the first time at COMICON, the great Alan Davis is coming from London! After numerous collaborations with prestigious magazines such as Warrior and 2000 AD, and with screenwriters of the level of Alan Moore, Davis is universally known for his work for the American market. In fact, since 1985, the British designer has imprinted his style on some of the most important necklaces of the Marvel Universe (and beyond). Davis' landing at COMICON is in collaboration with Lanciano nel Comics (April 18-19): this confirms a partnership that has allowed the two events to bring authors of the reach of John Cassaday and Steve McNiven to Italy.

MAXIMUM CARNIVAL ON SHOW

After the announced solo show on Tanino Liberatore, another exhibition dedicated to a single designer is in preparation and will feature a magnificent Italian author, Massimo Carnevale. John Doe's cover designer of Eura Editoriale has recently also been the prestigious signature of Dylan Dog, as well as numerous other collaborations (HERE his blog). Often interpreter of the wise writing of Roberto Recchioni, one of the most prolific screenwriters of recent years, he is here entrusted to his work as co-curator of the exhibition. A unique opportunity, therefore, to get to know the art of a master of Italian comics, a guest, with Recchioni, at the eleventh edition of our Salone.
