Italy 1 from Monday to Friday at 7,25 am. The fantastic cartoon (original title Paul no miracle dai sakusen) composed of 50 episodes was made in 1976 by the Japanese studios of Tatsunoko and is aimed mainly at preschool children. It arrived in Italy in 1980 and was broadcast on various local television stations. The story of "Paul's Fantastic World" is a splendid fairy tale, set in the present day, which will take viewers into parallel universes and imaginary worlds made of talking and animated toys, bizarre and extravagant creatures, where there will be no lack of monstrous beings and bad dragons. Paul and Nina are two carefree children who live peacefully inside their home, but one day an extraordinary event happened. Pakkun, Paul's teddy bear, began to speak and move as an elf from a parallel world had taken on his form. Thanks to a magic hammer Pakkun can open a space-time passage towards the fantastic world of wonders from which it came, catapulting Paul and Nina into a parallel dimension made of extraordinary toys and delicious sweets, without time passing. Despite that enchanting place, Pakkun warns the two boys that evil threatens that dimension and the devil Belt-Satan, eager to conquer even the world of reality, manages to kidnap Nina. Back in the real world, Paul is accused by Nina's father of his daughter's disappearance, but obviously does not believe in the fantasies of a wonder world where the girl has been kidnapped. On board Toppe, Nina's Saint Bernard dog who flies thanks to his big ears, Paul will go in search of Nina to free her from the clutches of the terrible devil, helped by the Pakkun bear, who can stop time and emit laser beams from his eyes. and the magical yo yo, which can turn into a deadly weapon. The space-time gap created by Pakkun, however, has a limited duration in time, therefore every time they immerse themselves in the fantastic world of wonders, they must return to the real world before it closes, the risk would be to remain imprisoned in that world forever. . In each episode, Paul and his friends will have to fight against the different enemies that follow Belt-Satan: Kinoppi the mushroom, the evil spiders, the stone giant, the giant roller, the hordes of skeletons and many others. There is no shortage of journeys to other even stranger parallel worlds such as the land of candy, the adventures in the mini mini land, the kingdom of stationery, the land of number men, the land of musical notes, the upside-down earth etc ... Despite Paul defeating monsters and strange creatures, always on the point of freeing Nina, Belt-Satan always manages to get the girl back. Eventually, thanks to the alliance of all the good creatures of the wonderland, Paul and his friends will be able to free Nina and put the devil Belt-Satan to flight. When they return to their real world, Pakkun bear will go back to being a stuffed puppet and Toppe the dog will bark like all normal dogs. A cartoon not to be missed for all lovers of fantasy.
