Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment's second successful project tells the story of CP, the teenage son of the Easter Bunny. Off the coast of South America, on Rapa Nui Island, affectionately known as Easter Island, under whose huge heads resides the most magnificent candy factory. Three hundred and sixty-five days a year, the Easter Bunny rules over a group of bunnies and chicks who prepare the baskets full of candies that will be delivered to children all over the world on Easter morning. On the eve of his father's appointment as successor, CP takes off for Hollywood to fulfill his dream of becoming a drummer. Once there, he meets Fred, recently fired and determined to make a new life. After being lovingly kicked out of his parents' home, he accidentally runs into CP. Feeling offended and shocking Fred with his ability to speak, CP will manipulate him into offering shelter. Meanwhile on Easter Island, the second-in-command of the Easter bunnies, a huge chick named Carlos, grasps CP's disappearance as an opportunity to carry out a coup. In the end, Fred and CP will represent the only hope for Easter and will find themselves forced to return to Easter Island, focusing on the epic battle that will save the much-loved holiday.

Fred a thirty year old who tries to give meaning to his life. When he was a child, one Easter morning he woke up early and saw CP's dad filling his basket. Once he meets CP, Fred doesn't care that he's a talking rabbit eating jelly beans, and he feels they can be friends. If CP can be a drummer why can't he be the Easter Bunny? With some training he will be ready to collect the Egg of Destiny - a golden scepter adorned with golden eggs that will give Fred the powers of the Easter Bunny.

Alex Fred's adopted little sister, she is 10 years old. Just like Sam, Alex could beat Fred on any court. Alex jokingly tells Fred that her family only adopted her because Fred is a disappointment.
