This cartoon is about Fry, a boy of around 26, sad and lonely, after being left by his girlfriend Michelle. His profession is to deliver pizzas at home is December 31, 1999, he has the task of delivering a pizza from a professor who works in a cryogenic laboratory. Finding no one, he decides to eat pizza and celebrate the beginning of the millennium, but falls into a hibernation room programmed to make him wake up after 1000 years. After this time, Fry awakens to a completely changed world. Here he meets Leela, an alien who has to insert programmed chips to imprint in the genetic code of every man, a specific job that will imprison him for the rest of his life. Fry runs away in terror and goes in search of his descendant, great great great great great grandson, Prof. Hubert Fansworth. Fry, Leela and the robot Bender then go in search of Professor Hubert. They finally manage to find him and he being the owner of Planet Express, offers them an intergalactic delivery job.
