SPEED RACER
Following the lines of the successful Japanese animated series born in the sixties, the film tells the adventures of a young driver intent on winning with the Match 5, a racing car made by his father, with a series of very special features.
Speed Racer is the son of a well-known racing car manufacturer and has an innate talent for driving. His brother Rex was a pilot and died in a serious accident. Despite his great ability, Speed understands that in order to win a car circuit, he has to deal with multinationals and sponsors who decide from the start who will win the race. So Speed teams up with the mysterious Racer X, in order to demonstrate that he can win a race with his ability as a driver alone. After having demonstrated a wide narrative mastery with Matrix, the Wachowski brothers try their hand at the comic genre, enriching it with stylistic innovations and surprising shots, functional to the exaltation of high speeds. We then move from the detail of the shot to the very long shot in a short time. Even the exaggeration of expressions and movements, typical of the cartoon, are enhanced despite the fact that the actors are in the flesh, even if sometimes covered with CGI pixels.
