THE BATMAN - NEW SERIES

 From Friday 22 August 2008 Italy 1 broadcasts the original Warner Bros cartoon starring a great character who certainly needs no introduction: THE BATMAN.
The latest Batman animated series takes its cue from the film Batman Begins with Christian Bales and tells the adventures of just over 20 years old Bruce Wayne, a golden bachelor behind whose identity lies the most famous masked hero of all time.
The young Batman is faced, for the first time, with the host of enemies best known by the general public - including the Joker, Penguin, Catwoman and Mr. Freeze - and carries on his fight against crime with the help of a All-new arsenal of ultra-powerful Batgadgets and the ultra-modern Batmobile.
Initially considered dangerous due to his desire to impose "personal" justice, Batman is wanted by the police. The numerous successes achieved will make this brave hero the new protector of the leaden Gotham City. The dark metropolis is in fact the realm of contradictions: futuristic elevated railway lines dominate dark and shabby alleys, just as few honest citizens try to survive the domination of a corrupt gangster elite. In The Batman, the incredible abilities of the most complex character in the history of comics are enhanced thanks to increasingly spectacular feats. The new cartoon also boasts innovative graphics, perfectly suited to embody the dynamic and energetic spirit of a hero younger than the Batman ever. The flagship is the music of the series composed by The Edge, guitarist of U2, a band that has already had to do with the Dark Knight when he made, in '95, the song Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me from the Batman Forever movie. In the US, The Batman cartoon was the inspiration for a new comic, The Batman Strikes!
