despicable Me
Universal Pictures presents its 3-D CGI debut film, DESPICABLE ME, from major animation producer Chris Meledandri (Ice Age, Robots, Ice Age 2: The Thaw, The Simpsons: The Movie, Alvin superstar, Horton and il mondo dei Chi) with the direction of Pierre Coffin, Chris Renaud, Sergio Pablos. The film will be released in theaters on October 15, 2010.
In a pleasant neighborhood outside the city, surrounded by white fences and flowering rose bushes, stands a black house, on a desolate lawn. Unbeknownst to the neighborhood, behind this house, there is a large secret refuge. There, in the midst of a small army of slaves, we discover Gru (voiced by Steve Carell), who is planning the greatest heist in the history of the world: stealing the moon! (yes, the moon!) Gru loves all kinds of misdeeds. Armed with an arsenal of shrinking or freezing rockets, and vehicles capable of fighting by land and air, Gru overwhelms and conquers everything in his path. But all of this changes the day he runs into the strong determination of three orphan girls, who see in him something no one else has ever seen before: a potential dad.
Every villain needs the support of faithful helpers to carry out their evil plans.
Even Gru, the protagonist of Despicable Me voiced in Italy by Max Giusti, hides an army of little helpers, the Minions, in his basement. Their main task is to build all the bizarre inventions conceived and developed in collaboration with prof. Nefario. Between bisco-robots, shrinking rockets and freezing rockets, Minions really have a lot to do, but often their desire to have fun and play exceeds that of work.
For this reason, the presence of a Master Minion is essential, or someone who encourages them to work and who takes care of training their skills to become faster and more efficient.
Being a good Minion Master is not easy: it is necessary to carefully dose work and rest, because too tired Minions do not have enough vital forces to work, but Minions who rest too long are even more clumsy.
A celebrity cast led by Steve Carell (Horton and the Whos, Total Smart Casino Agent, The Office) voices the various characters in the film: Jason Segel (Don't Download Me, the sitcom 'And Mom Comes Finally'); Kristen Wiig (Saturday Night Live, Ghost Town); Danny McBride (Strafumati, Tropic Thunder, Land of the Lost); Will Arnett (Horton and the World of Who, Arrested Development); Russell Brand (Don't Download Me, Spellbinding Tales); Jemaine Clement (Flight of the Conchords); Jack McBrayer (30 Rock, Don't Dump Me); Miranda Cosgrove (star of the hit Nickelodeon show Carly); and the legendary Julie Andrews (Prince Charming Wanted, Mary Poppins, All Together Passionately).
