Cartoon Network and Crunchyroll bring the Toonami block back to Latin America

Cartoon Network, the number one children's brand in Latin America for the sixth consecutive year, and Crunchyroll, the world's most popular anime brand, announce the return of the iconic Toonami anime programming block to Latin America, starting August 31. . The partnership, initially for a year, aims to provide a selection of iconic anime properties to a new generation of fans.

The Crunchyroll-powered Toonami block will run Monday through Friday starting at midnight until 1am, starting with Dragon Ball Super for the first half hour, and then a mix of Crunchyroll curated series starting at Mob Psycho 100. Each series will be dubbed in Spanish and Portuguese.

In the US, Crunchyroll has worked closely with Cartoon Network's Adult Swim team to bring more anime to fans around the world. At the first Adult Swim Con, Crunchyroll and the Toonami team revealed a partnership to create Fena: pirate princess, an original series coming in 2021, and unveiled new frames from the upcoming Crunchyroll and Adult Swim production Blade Runner - Black Lotus, based on the Oscar-winning film Blade Runner 2049. Crunchyroll also previously curated anime series for Toonami in the United States, bringing the first season of Mob Psycho 100 to local fans.

Crunchyroll's vast library of anime reaches over 70 million registered users and three million streaming subscribers in more than 200 countries and territories.
