Comes to Cartoon Network the animated series, 100% comedy, which tells the adventures and misadventures of Ed, a clumsy and distracted but very sociable dog, and his best friend Buddy, a sensible and judicious but a little grumpy squirrel. Despite all the troubles that the clumsy dog manages to combine, the two are a formidable couple with a simple, immediate and effective comedy.
Ed and Buddy are best friends, yet they have very different characters: Ed is a too carefree big dog, while Buddy is a rational and intelligent but very, very intolerant squirrel, especially towards his clumsy friend. Despite everything, they are great friends and share a small house in Swellville, complete with a garden and… nosy neighbors! To keep company with this "strange couple" there are in fact several characters who animate the life of the village, starting with Mr. Thirsty, a great paranoid dog, and Mme Flufflé, a hamster dedicated to palmistry who has a crush on Ed, for ending with the hateful twins, two very rich pink kittens, who giggle continuously.
Emmy-winning author Rick Marshall has directed numerous animated series in addition to Best Ed including The Care Bears (1986), Beetlejuice (1989) and Babar (1989).
