Cannes: Pink Parrot gets hits for 'Trash'

Montreal / Madrid-based international sales and distribution company Pink Parrot Media (PPM) secured several new theatrical sales for the award-winning 3D animated film Trash (Garbage), from Italy's Al One Srl. The beautifully animated and eco-conscious 88-minute film is directed in the UK with Signature, CIS & Baltics (Top Film), Taiwan (Muse) and Spain (Paycom) under the new agreements signed.

The film focuses on the importance of recycling and giving waste a second life in a meaningful way. In a world where garbage comes to life at night, the feature follows the adventures of a trash heap in search of a mythical recycling bin. Released in Italy by the renowned Notorious distributor, Trash it is directed by Luca Della Grotta and Francesco Dafano.

The film won numerous industry awards, including the Audience Award of the Madrid Italian Film Festival (2020), the Best Film of the Giffoni Film Festival - School Experience (2021) and the Silver Remi Award of the WorldFest Houston (2021). . Trash will participate in the International Feature Film Competition in the Kids Category at the 61st Zlín Film Festival. The film was a finalist in the Youth Section at the BANFF Rockie Awards 2021 and is part of the Official Selection at the Locarno Film Festival in the Kids Screening section.
