Cartoon Network presents the new cartoon against racism

Cartoon Network released the second anti-racism cartoon starring the Emmy nominee Steven Universe by author Rebecca Sugar and Ian Jones-Quartey, creator of OK. KO! Let's Be Heroes, which intends to give children and families instructions to stop common narratives about racism.

The latest PSA, entitled "Tell the Whole Story”(Tells the whole story), features Pearl's character Steven Universe on Cartoon Network's YouTube channel and on the network's social media platforms. “Tell the Whole Story” explores how black inventors, heroes and leaders are often left out of the story and challenges the viewer to ask: who is telling the story?

"Tell the Whole StoryWas developed in collaboration with Dr. Kira Banks, a clinical psychologist whose research examines the experience of discrimination, its impact on mental health and relationships between groups. She is co-founder of the Institute for Healing Justice and Equity and has served as a racial equity consultant for the Ferguson Commission. His vodcast Raising Equity explores what it means to intentionally raise children with an equitable mindset - the knowledge and understanding of systemic inequalities and to equip them to create an equitable society rather than accepting the status quo.

Steven Universe

Each series of anti-racism public service announcements features a different character of Steven Universe and discuss the importance of understanding how racism affects individuals and encourages the public not to be racist. The first cartoon “Don't Deny It, Defy It” aired in October.
