Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show is an American animated television series with characters and plots from the comic strip by Charles M. Schulz The Peanuts, premiered for television in the Peanuts animated specials. The series was broadcast for the first time on the American CBS network from 1983 to 1985. In Italy it was broadcast on Rai 1 and Junior TV at the end of the nineties and continued to broadcast also in reruns until the channel closed on 31 October. 2003. In Italy the episodes are larger and with different numbers since the series "Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show" is mistakenly merged with the TV specials

Due to lower-than-expected ratings, in an effort to increase audiences, CBS moved the series to 8:00 East Coast time in early 1984. It didn't help much ratings and, although the show hasn't been formally canceled. in 1984, a further production was on hiatus and in 1985 CBS ordered five new episodes for what would be a second and final season. In early 1986, CBS abandoned the show after a ratings recession.

Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show is one of the few television series produced by Bill Melendez, whose animation studio generally produced specials.

The animated series aired on The Disney Channel in 1993 and on YTV in Canada in 1996. It also aired on the CBBC block on BBC One and BBC Two from 1986 to 2005 and also aired with the TV specials on Boomerang in United Kingdom from 2002 to 2004.

1 Season

1 "Snoopy's fight with the cat

Snoopy throws a basketball into Woodstock's nest but is angry and throws it at Snoopy.
Charlie Brown tries to impress the red-haired girl.
Piperita Patty and Charlie Brown receive the same professorship after Charlie Brown's school was demolished; he starts annoying Charlie Brown, having them send to the principal, giving them the task of writing “I will not disturb the class” 100 times.
Schroeder is not happy when Lucy criticizes Beethoven and his music.
Linus lends his blanket to Eudora, who then gives the blanket to the cat next door.

2 "Snoopy: Team Manager -

Linus and Snoopy try to help Lucy plant her garden.
Rerun sings and recites poetry as he rides on the back of his mother's bike.
Linus' grandmother is on her way so Linus ships her blanket but doesn't come back.
Snoopy is the new manager of the baseball team.

3 "Linus and Lucy

Sally writes an essay on Snoopy and gets a good grade.
Linus tries to teach Sally to kick the ball, but ends up in the air as Lucy provokes Charlie Brown to kick the ball.
Lucy creates "love beads" for Schroeder.
Lucy doesn't understand if Schroeder likes it.
Schroeder and Charlie Brown throw a snowball at Linus' head, but he spins each snowball with his blanket and throws it at them and Lucy makes snow bunnies.
Charlie Brown tries to fly paper planes, but fails.
Lucy tries to take out Snoopy and Linus' splinters and has Linus shower her with compliments before she gives him a piece of toast.
Lucy thinks she can see the ocean and takes a home run when Schroeder tells her he will kiss her. Note: reused animations and dialogues from It's Arbor Day, Charlie Brown are used.

4 "lucy vs. the World

Charlie Brown and Lucy are drinking lemonade and talking. However, Charlie is disgusted when Lucy doesn't realize that Snoopy has sipped from the same straw he's using and Lucy is disgusted with the faces he's making.
Charlie Brown is fed up with Lucy's incompetence towards the baseball team and shoots her off the team. Lucy talks badly about the team through the school newspaper and resorts to complaining on the sidelines.
Piperita Patty stays at Charlie Brown's house while her father is out of town, mistaking Snoopy's bed for a "guest cottage".
Snoopy finds himself in contention for the prestigious award, and forces the neighborhood kids to name him.
Lucy throws Linus out of the house, only to find that their mom has given birth to a baby brother (who was named Rerun Van Pelt).

5 "Linus' safety blanket

Snoopy thinks the cat next door has Woodstock. A fight ensues, but it is revealed that the cat was playing with a yellow glove and Linus goes to apologize only for being scratched himself.
Sally says the wrong answer in class.
Lucy annoys Schroeder.
Charlie Brown refuses to call the game due to rain, even as waves form around his pitcher's mound. His pitcher's mount begins to move.
Lucy psychoanalyses Charlie Brown's personality based on sunrises and sunsets.
Lucy causes Charlie Brown to kick the ball by pretending to fall asleep.
Linus gives Snoopy his blanket in hopes that he can break his habit, but then Snoopy makes two sports coats for him and Woodstock.
Charlie Brown gets caught in the kite rope and hangs upside down from a tree (used in A Charlie Brown Celebration).
Snoopy and Woodstock try to take an afternoon nap. (This also appeared on the special It's an Adventure, Charlie Brown)
Snoopy begins to hang on to anyone who believes dogs have made the world a better place. Unfortunately, Charlie Brown is saddled with the grateful beagle. Then Lucy helps him. Charlie Brown then concludes that girls have made the world a better place. Then Lucy clings to Charlie Brown.

6 "Snoopy: man's best friend

Snoopy tries to kiss Lucy while she is sad.
Snoopy stays with Piperita Patty but is unable to get out of her waterbed.
Charlie Brown tells Linus the story of when Snoopy took Woodstock and the Beagle Scouts to camp.
Snoopy blows Linus into Patty's pool after reading The Three Little Pigs and pretends to be the flying ace of WWI, Charlie Brown is mad at Snoopy and Sally has a new motto "" Speak softly and bring a beagle "" then changes to “Speak out loud and bring a beagl

7 "Snoopy the psychiatrist

Charlie Brown gets good advice from Lucy, the psychiatrist, and her replacement Snoopy.
Charlie Brown loses his hat and the kite explodes into pieces like a balloon.
Piperita Patty invites Snoopy to a school dance.
Piperita Patty has recruited a guy named Thiebault for her baseball team. However, she abruptly refuses to return Charlie Brown's baseball glove and angrily rejects the idea that girls should play baseball by insulting Marcie.

8 "You can't win, Charlie Brown

Snoopy demonstrates the shaking method of training puppies, when Linus doubts a puppy can learn anything from being shaken. (This short film is reused by Charlie Brown Cleans The Air.)
Woodstock comments on Snoopy's dinner by discussing the worms.
Sally discovers the danger by throwing a soccer ball into Woodstock's nest.
Charlie Brown and his friends win their first game of the season thanks to Rerun.
Linus offers his burnt toast in Woodstock.
Lucy and Linus make snow sculptures.
Charlie Brown tries to teach Snoopy how to sit and walk.
The school ceiling leaks a leak on Peppermint Patty's desk.
Lucy helps Charlie Brown fly his kite and Charlie Brown ends up entangling the kite in Snoopy's bed.
Linus tries to live without his blanket for two weeks.
Sally tries to tell jokes in front of her class. (This also appeared on the special It's an Adventure, Charlie Brown)

9 "The lost baseball field

Lucy tries to "help" Charlie Brown walk correctly.
Piperita Patty and Marcie go to the camp, where Marcie rejects the progress of a loving boy named Floyd who keeps calling her "Lambcake".
Linus and Snoopy go hunting for truffles and find a little girl named Truffles. Soon, Linus and Snoopy start arguing over who loves her the most.
Charlie Brown is shocked when he finds out that he cannot play in the vacant lot used for their games.
Note: The Lost Ballpark introduces Snoopy's brother Spike.

10 "Snoopy's football career

Peppermint Patty is unhappy that she didn't receive a gold star for any of her classwork.
Linus deals with Snoopy's constant theft of his blanket.
Lucy gets tired of Schroeder ignoring her and throws her piano into the kite-eating tree.
Linus, Sally, Snoopy and Woodstock work to learn the game of football and Piperita Patty teaches Marcie.

11 "Chaos in the classroom

Sally takes Woodstock's nest for Show and Tell and breaks a child's ruler when a truck passes over it.
Sally tries to kick the ball and Charlie Brown makes a small landing after Lucy throws the ball away. Marcie and Piperita Patty play soccer.
Peppermint Patty gets angry when Marcie becomes a traffic patrolman.
Linus' blanket attacks Lucy. Note: Rocky Relly voices Linus in this short film, as this was a deleted scene from It's an Adventure, Charlie Brown.
Snoopy's plate is used as second base, Charlie Brown tries to teach Lucy how to bat, and Linus was out of the game.

12 "That's team spirit, Charlie Brown

Snoopy pretends to be a vulture, jumping from the trees.
Snoopy steals Linus' blanket and Linus steals Snoopy's dinner plate before each returns their respective prized possessions.
Piperita Patty refuses to go to school and sits on Snoopy's bed. Marcie drags her down and breaks Snoopy's bed. Marcie then tells Pepperita Patty that Snoopy is a beagle.
Rerun observes the world while on the back of his mother's bike.
Charlie Brown plays baseball in the rain.

13 "Lucy loves Schroeder

Charlie Brown goes to Lucy's psychiatric booth for advice on himself as he battles the kite-eating tree.
Snoopy pretends to be World I's flying ace and steals Sally's paper.
Charlie Brown is sent home from the camp to be a troublemaker while Peppermint Patty tells Linus how she cried when she saw the red-haired girl.
Lucy breaks up with Schroeder, then washes her toy piano.
After hearing noises during the night, Snoopy is terrified of sleeping outdoors and is unable to pay his consultant's bill, so Charlie Brown has to complete the task.

2 Season

14 "Snoopy and the giant

Snoopy ends up breaking his paw and has to wear a cast, which causes a problem when Peppermint Patty wants Snoopy to play for her team in the next game and Snoopy has another paw broken.
Woodstock's farming skills cause a beanstalk to sprout into the sky, where he and Snoopy encounter a giant who accumulates cookies.
The youngest of the Van Pelts must contend with a weird jack-in-the-box, his mother's cycling skills and a crush on a Brenda Jonasen who looks like Sally Brown and keeps changing her name.

15 "Snoopy's brother Spike

Peppermint Patty recruits Charlie Brown to sell popcorn for her team and wear their team's mascot costume.
Linus, Sally and Snoopy await the arrival of The Great Pumpkin, while Piperita Patty and Charlie Brown go bowling.
Snoopy's brother Spike comes to visit and is helped to get in shape to fight the cat next door.

16 "Snoopy robot

The gang visits a computer field, where Snoopy meets a high-tech robot.
Linus tries to follow Lucy's advice and gives up her blanket.
Both Pepperita Patty and Marcie face the fact that they may be in love with Charlie Brown.

17 "Piperita Patty's school days

Piperita Patty and Marcie deal with the daily problems of attending public school.
Snoopy surprises Linus with his "Cheshire Beagle" vanishing trick.
Snoopy pilots his doghouse to help Schroeder get to a summer music camp.

18 "Sally's sweet papa

Charlie Brown writes an essay on the previous Christmas, in which the whole gang took part in a rather bumpy Christmas play. Some elements of this short film would be reused for the 1992 special It's Christmastime Again, Charlie Brown.
The Peanuts gang deals with Valentine's Day and unrequited love.
Piperita Patty writes a school essay on Snoopy's many exploits.
