Crunchyroll®, the home of anime from around the world, revealed the winners of the 2024 Crunchyroll Anime Awards during a live ceremony featuring global celebrities and thrilling musical performances, all to honor the creators, musicians and performers fueling the global love for anime. The 2024 Crunchyroll Anime Awards took place live in Tokyo, Japan, and was live streamed worldwide, hosted by the voice actress Sally amaki and the well-known presenter Jon Kabira.

The winners for each category were revealed by a variety of global hosts and celebrities, representing passionate anime fans from across the entertainment world, including the three-time GRAMMY winner Megan thee stallion, the Japanese singer-songwriter LiSA, the award-winning actress Imam Vellani (MS. Fans around the world witnessed a series of musical performances during the show, including the first live performance of the official Anime Awards song, created and performed by the composers Hiroyuki SAWANO (Attack on Titan, Solo Leveling) to KOHTA YAMAMOTO (Attack on Titan, The Seven Deadly Sins), a rendition of “battlecry,” the opening song of Samurai Champloo, performed by Shing02, OMA e SPIN MASTER A-1 to commemorate the series' 20th anniversary, and a rousing performance of "Idol" by the Japanese pop duo YOASOBI, who performed at the Anime Awards before their Coachella concert. To honor fan-favorite anime series celebrating milestone anniversaries, a unique medley of iconic songs from each series was performed by a live orchestra in symphony format.

The Crunchyroll Anime Awards is the premier annual awards program celebrating the creators and performers who have contributed to anime's continued rise to pop culture dominance. This year, fans around the world cast a record 34 million votes to encourage their favorites to take home the top prizes, with some of the most involved countries including – in alphabetical order – Argentina, Australia , Brazil, France, Germany, Great Britain, India, Mexico, Spain and the United States. The 2024 Anime Awards will be available to stream soon on Crunchyroll official YouTube channel and on Twitch.
