Disney announces fall series, plus "Marvel Spidey"

During the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour, Disney Branded Television announced the dates of the fall and winter previews of new original films and series on Disney Channel and Disney Junior, including two new Mickey Mouse Christmas specials and the new supernatural comedy. While Daisy isn't sure she'll pass, she and Minnie join forces, along with Count Mickula and the gang, to defeat a mischievous ghost. Mickey and Minnie Wish Upon a Christmas (Thursday 2 December, on Disney Junior) - After a series of misadventures, Mickey, Minnie and the gang are separated around the world and must try to return to Hot Dog Hills for Christmas Eve. A mysterious and cheerful stranger shows up to tell them about The Wishing Star, which could be the secret to getting everyone home in time to celebrate together. LaDuca and Seidenberg are executive producers. The film is a Disney Television Animation production.

Viewers can also see the live-action remake of the 1997 Halloween comedy classic Under Wraps (October 1, 20pm, Disney Channel), directed by Alex Zamm; and original film Christmas Again (Christmas again) (December 3, 20pm, Disney Channel), with Scarlett Estevez of Bunk'd and directed by Andy Fickman

Travis Braun (Vampirina, Puppy Dog Pals, Muppet Babies), an Emmy Award-nominated writer and producer, has extended its worldwide agreement with Disney to develop and produce both animated and live-action content on online and streaming platforms for Disney Branded Television. The deal also includes a first look at any Braun projects for other Disney-owned platforms, including additional streams and theatrical releases. Furthermore, pupstruction, a new series from Braun for preschool audiences, has received the green light for Disney Junior and a Disney Channel (DCOM) original film is also in development.

Braun's past animation writing credits include the Netflix Original Series TurboFAST and the animated short film Charlie and Mr. Two (Charlie and Mr. Two), which he created for Nickelodeon. He previously worked on the CBS drama Criminal Minds. Braun is represented by Echo Lake Entertainment and Cheryl Snow at Gang, Tire, Ramer & Brown.

A second season of Marvel Spidey and his amazing friends, the first full-length Marvel series for preschoolers, went into production following its impressive debut on Disney Channel, Disney Junior and DisneyNOW earlier this month. The first seven episodes will be available Wednesday, September 22 on Disney + and the new episodes will continue to run on Disney Channel (9:00 am EDT / PDT) and Disney Junior (12:30 pm and 19:30 pm EDT / PDT).

Since its first broadcast, Marvel Spidey and his amazing friends ranks as the No. 1 on Disney Junior, the Disney Junior block on Disney Channel with children 2-5 and on DisneyNOW.
