Live-Action Tokyo Revengers Movie Stops Filming - News


Shooting for the film began at the end of winter; scheduled to open on 9 October


The official Twitter account for Warner Bros Japanlive action film di ken wakui'S Tokyo Reveners The manga announced Monday that the film's crew has halted filming to prioritize the health of the entire cast and crew. The announcement added that staff have been filming since late last winter.

The film is slated to open in Japan on October 9th. Tsutomu Hanabusa (live Kakegurui, Miedinen dakedo Kodomo ja Nai) is directing the film.

The cast includes (left to right in the image above):

  • Yuki Yamada as Ken Ryūgūji
  • Yosuke Sugino as Naoto Tachibana
  • Nobuyuki suzuki like Masataka Shimizu
  • Hayato Isomura as Atsushi Sendō

  • Ryō Yoshizawa like Manjiro Sano

Warner Bros Japan announced the film in February.

wakui launched the manga inside Kodansha'S Weekly magazine of Shōnen in March 2017 e Kodansha published the 15th volume of compiled manga books last December. Kodansha comics published the 14th digital volume in English on 10 March.

Wakui serialized the Swan of Shinjuku manga into Kodansha'S Young Magazine from 2005 to 2013 with 38 volumes. The manga inspired a six-episode live action television series in 2007 and two live actions film in May 2015 and January 2016.
