The Seitokai Yakuindomo manga comic will end with volume 22 next January

The story tells of Takatoshi Tsuda attending the Ōsai Academy, a high school that, due to falling birth rates, is converted from a girls' school to a mixed school (with a male-to-female ratio of 28 to 524). On the first day, he is forcibly recruited into the student council as vice president and sole male representative. The story follows Tsuda and the student council as they interact with each other and with their schoolmates.

Main characters 

Takatoshi Tsuda

Takatoshi Tsuda (津 田 タ カ ト シ, Tsuda Takatoshi ) is the main character of the story. She chooses to attend a former girls' school simply because it is close to her home. On his first day of school, he is forcibly recruited into the student council as a vice president and male representative. Normally he acts as a heterosexual man to Shino and Aria, who, along with other school girls, regularly make hints and jokes. Eventually, he gets so used to this behavior that he feels really weird when they don't make jokes like that.

Shino Amakusa

Shino Amakusa (天 草 シ ノ, Amakusa Shino ) is a second year student and president of the student council. She is serious and diligent, excels in her studies, and is very popular with the student body. However, he almost always thinks about perverse things. He suggests that one of the original reasons he showed interest in Takatoshi is to be able to observe him in physical education and health classes. Although she has excellent grades and is proficient in a wide range of subjects, she fears height and insects and her rather flat chest makes her feel awkward, especially when confronted with Aria. She occasionally engages in couple activities with Takatoshi such as walking with him, sharing an umbrella, or removing earwax, but is embarrassed whenever Takatoshi says something that could be interpreted as romantic (as the series progresses, it is suggested that she has feelings. for Takatoshi, but she categorically denies it whenever asked). According to her childhood friend Misaki Amano, Shino was the student council president at her previous school.

Aria Shichijo

Aria Shichijō (七 条 ア リ ア, Shichijo Aria ) is the student council secretary and in the same year as Shino; are good friends. He comes from a wealthy family and is the most physically mature character. However, he has a highly perverted mind; like Shino, he has a habit of turning every word and thought into something sexual. Because she is absurdly rich and too spoiled, she can seem like a freak: for example, she waits in front of a door and expects it to open automatically or sometimes stands at the bottom of a staircase expecting it to move like an escalator. On the contrary, she is very good at her studies and places second in the middle of the term for her year of class, just behind Shino. Her chest is larger than Shino's, which makes Shino feel awkward.

Suzu Hagimura

Suzu Hagimura (萩 村 ス ズ, Hagimura Suzu ) is the student council treasurer and in the same year as Takatoshi. She describes herself as a returning student with an IQ of 180, able to do 10-digit arithmetic in her head, and is fluent in multiple languages ​​including English. Although she is 16 at the start of the series, she is no taller than an elementary school student and is very sensitive to her short stature. A lot of the jokes are about her childish appearance or height, and she gets furious whenever such topics are mentioned. Although initially reluctant to accept Takatoshi as a member of the student council, she soon becomes dependent on him, to the point of feeling uncomfortable when he's not around, and it's hinted on multiple occasions later in the series that she might develop feelings for him. In situations where multiple characters are conversing, often only the top of his head is shown, or a caption and arrow indicate where he is.

Secondary characters

Ranko Hatha

Ranko Hatha (畑 ラ ン コ, Hatha Ranko ) is the head of the school's newspaper club. She enjoys taking photos of student council members to sell around the school, usually without the permission of those being photographed, and is often captured. When conducting an interview, she likes to twist responses to something dirty or perverted, with Tsuda as a frequent target; gags in the series see her constantly trying to get Shino and Takatoshi to admit they are dating, or admitting to spreading rumors about it, much to their chagrin. She is expressionless most of the time (but has been shown to smile on very rare occasions) and has a monotone and deadpan voice in the anime, which contrasts strongly with the other girls' excitable temperaments.

Mutsumi Mitsuba

Mutsumi Mitsuba (三葉 ム ツ ミ, Mitsuba Mutsumi ) is a classmate of Takatoshi who forms a judo club early in the series. He is dedicated to leading his club, but he is also a simple person. She develops a crush on Takatoshi later in the series, and despite her considerable potential and drive in martial arts, she claims her dream is to simply become a bride. In one case, he combines his surname Tsuda (Tsuda) with his first name Mutsumi (ム ツ ミ). Due to her innocent nature, she often misses allusions from Aria and Shino.

Naruko Yokoshima

Naruko Yokoshima (横 島 ナ ル コ, Yokoshima Naruko ) is an sai Academy teacher and student council advisor. She is even more kinky than Aria and Shino and aggressively seeks out younger guys, not except her male students. In the anime, she teaches English and, true to form, her program almost always contains perverse content. She is perceived as unreliable by board members and useless as an educator.

Kotomi Tsuda

Kotomi Tsuda (津 田 コ ト ミ, Tsuda Kotomi ) is Takatoshi's younger sister, who is in the final year of middle school at the beginning of the series and attends Ōsai the following year. In one episode, when Takatoshi was sick, both she and Shino brought him an adult manga. She is very attached to her brother but, to Takatoshi's chagrin, her comments sometimes imply that they are having an incestuous relationship, and she has also made comments suggesting she is a chūnibyō. He gets along very well with other girls and often asks and gets help from them. Eventually she becomes the manager of the Judo club.

Kaede Igarashi

Kaede Igarashi (五十 嵐 カ エ デ, Igarashi Kaede ) is the head of the disciplinary committee of the Ōsai Academy. He has a strong sense of justice and morals, but has an extreme fear of boys. This ends up being a problem because the school became mixed after she enrolled. As the series progresses, her androphobia diminishes to a point: she is comfortable when she is with Takatoshi, but not with other men.

Sayaka Dejima

Sayaka Dejima (出 島 サ ヤ カ, Dejima Sayaka ) is Aria's personal maid. She is very protective of Aria and carries the key to her chastity belt. She has a fetish for everything Aria has touched or worn, and unwashed underwear in general.

Nene Todoroki

Nene Todoroki (轟 ネ ネ, Todoroki Nene ) is a friend of Suzu and a member of the Robot Research Club. She is as kinky as the rest of the girls, as she often wears a vibrator during school hours or is seen working on such devices in her club.

Kaoru Toki

Chihiro Men

Chihiro Men (魚 見 チ ヒ ロ) nicknamed “Womi”, is the student council president of nearby Eiryou High School. She is introduced when her school visits Ōsai to exchange ideas. She and Shino discover that they are very similar in thought and personality and therefore get along well. She and Tsuda become kind of in-laws when their respective cousins ​​get married (Tsuda is the groom's cousin, Uomi is the bride). Afterward, she insists that Takatoshi call her Onee-chan and she refers to him as Taka-kun. He seems to see Takatoshi as a potential romantic interest, much to the dismay of some of the other girls.

Nozomi Mori

Nozomi Mori (森 ノ ゾ ミ, Mori Nozomi ) is a sophomore at Eriyou High School and vice president of its student council, making her Eriyou's equivalent of Takatoshi. Like Takatoshi, he is the straight man of the Eriyou Student Council. He finds the presence of his Ōsai counterpart pleasant, as neither of them must be the straight man.

Manga

The Seitokai Yakuindomo manga is written and illustrated by Tozen Ujiie. The manga began serialization in the June 2007 issue of Magazine Special , published on May 19, 2007. It was published in the journal until the July 2008 issue, published on June 20, 2008. The series was then transferred to Weekly Shōnen Magazine of Kodansha, starting with the 34th issue of 2008, published on 23 July 2008.
