In the darkest moment, attacked by the cruel King Dunlending Wulf, Helm and his people will be forced into a desperate resistance at the ancient fortress of Hornburg, better known as Helm's Abyss. The real hero of the story is Hera, Helm's daughter, played by Gaia Wise, called upon to demonstrate exceptional fortitude in the face of a merciless enemy.

During the Comic-Con presentation, executive producer Phillipa Boyens, who previously wrote the scripts for the “Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit” trilogies, described the film as a story of “war ruins” that turns into one of “supernatural pain”. The voice cast also boasts names like Miranda Otto and Lorraine Ashbourne, while the director is the award-winning Kenji Kamiyama, known for works such as “Blade Runner: Black Lotus” and “Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex”.

The release date shift was prompted by Warner Bros. Discovery's need to postpone “Dune: Part 2” due to a lack of actors available to promote the film during the SAG-AFTRA strike.
