Detective Conan: The Culprit Hanzawa Anime Video Reveals Theme Songs, Debuting October 3
The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX and Yomiuri TV channels on October 3 and will premiere on BS NTV and Netflix worldwide on October 4.
Shōta Aoi will play the protagonist Hanzawa-san. Inori Minase will play Hanzawa's pet, Pometarō.
Akitarō Daichi (2001 Fruits Basket, Kamisama Kiss, Ninja Girl & Samurai Master) will direct the anime at TMS Entertainment Studio 1. Fu Chisaka will design the characters. Mayumi Nakajima is the art director of Studio Cocolo, while Chieko Nakamura is responsible for the artistic supervision. Hiromi Miyawaki is the color key artist. Akemi Sasaki is compositing director of photography, while Ikuyo Fujita is editing. Yasuyuki Uragami and Keiko Urakami are the audio directors. Kaori Yamada is credited for sound effects. Jun Abe and Seiji Muto are composing the music. Audio Planning U is accredited for sound production.
Detective Conan: Hannin no Hanzawa-san is a gag manga starring the "criminal" with a black silhouette who appears in the chapters of Detective Conan to represent the perpetrators of the mystery. The manga debuted on Shōnen Sunday S in May 2017. The sixth volume of the compiled manga book was shipped to Japan in October 2021.
Gosho Aoyama's Detective Conan manga also inspired a recent anime adaptation of a spinoff manga, Detective Conan: Zero no Tea Time (Detective Conan: Zero's Tea Time) by Takahiro Arai. The anime premiered on April 5 and concluded with its sixth episode on May 9. Netflix will release the anime worldwide outside of Japan in July.
