Wield the sword as Tanjiro Kamado, a kindhearted boy who, after selling coal to earn a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, her younger sister Nezuko, the only survivor, has been turned into a demon herself. Though devastated by this grim reality, Tanjiro decides to become a "demon slayer" so that he can transform his sister into a human and kill the demon who slaughtered his family. A sad story of brothers in which the fates of humans and demons are intertwined… start now!
Whether you are a longtime fan or a newcomer, The Chronicles of Hinokami is a spectacular fighter in the arena of the CyberConnect2 team that offers a lot of thrilling action and drama that anyone can enjoy. From stunning graphics to highly fluid animation, this is a game you have to see to believe.
Although seemingly simple on the surface, combat in The Chronicles of Hinokami it's as complex as you want it to be, with combos, launchers, jump canceling, dodge canceling, parrying, push blocks, knockbacks and more. Then you have a boost mode that increases your character's strength and, to top it off, there are the jaw-dropping super moves called “Ultimate Arts” attacks which are always a real sight to behold.
This is further expanded with the ability for players to select a companion to take with them into battle. Now, your partner's potential actions are tied to a two-part support indicator. Each support action consumes part of this bar, whether you decide to call your support to assist you, or whether you switch to that character.
Keep in mind that you and your support character share the same health bar, so a healthy strategy is the key to success. Suffice it to say, there is a ton of depth to explore here and we're excited to see what players will be able to pull off in combat.
