Keiichi Arawi resumes the Nichijō manga on October 26th

Kadokawa revealed that Keiichi Arawi will resume his Nichijō manga in the December issue of Monthly Shōnen Ace on October 26. Arawi further stated on Twitter that he wanted to draw the manga again, so he is resuming the series.

The November issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine anticipated last month that Arawi would publish a manga in the magazine's December issue on October 26. The magazine did not specify at the time whether the manga would be a series or a one-shot.

The December issue (pictured above) will feature Nichijō on the cover and the new chapter will have a color opening page. A supplement to the issue will also contain a work by Arawi and the issue will contain a special mask case with an Arawi design.

The manga celebrates the magazine's 27th anniversary.

Arawi launched the series as a short manga in Monthly Shōnen Ace in 2006 before launching the main manga in the same year. The manga was also published in Kadokawa's Comptiq and 4-Koma Nano Ace magazines. Arawi ended the series in 2015 with 10 volumes.

Arawi has published a new serialized manga titled Amemiya-san (pictured right) in the October issue of Shogakukan's Monthly Shonen Sunday (Gessan) magazine, released on September 10.

Arawi published the CITY manga in Kodansha's Morning magazine in September 2016 and finished the series in February. Kodansha published the 13th and final volume on April 23rd. Vertical is publishing the manga in English.

Vertical also published Arawi's Nichijō and Helvetica Standard manga in English. Both manga inspired Kyoto Animation's Nichijō TV anime in 2011. The anime draws on the stories of both manga. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.
