The Rakudai Majo children's book series becomes an anime

Poplar Publishing Co. announced on Sunday that  The series of children's books (Failure Witch) Rakudai Majo by Satoko Narita is getting a cinematic anime adaptation to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the book series.

Original novel illustrator Enaga Senno has designed a visual teaser for the anime.

The book series follows the witch apprentice Fūka on her adventures in magic and love. The first volume, Rakudai Majo wa Princess (The Witch of Failure is a Princess), released in October 2006. The franchise has 17 novels and a storybook. The most recent novel, From Rakudai Majo to Yami no Kyūden (Failure Witch and the Palace of Darkness), was released in October 2013.
