The anime of “DOTA: Dragon's Blood” on Netflix starting March 25th

Netflix announced the upcoming broadcast of DOTA: Dragon's Blood, a brand new anime series based on the popular video game brand DOTA 2  by Valve. The eight-episode series will join other anime productions, growing on Netflix, with a worldwide broadcast on March 25.

The next fantasy series tells the story of Davion, a renowned Dragon Knight, dedicated to erasing the scourge from the face of the world. Following encounters with a powerful and ancient eldwurm and the noble Princess Mirana on her secret mission, Davion becomes embroiled in events far greater than he could ever have imagined.

“Fans will love how we envisioned the universe of DOTA 2  and how we weaved an epic, emotional and adult-oriented story about some of their favorite characters, ”said showrunner and executive producer Ashley Edward Miller (X-Men: first class, Thor, Black Sails). "Film animation, acting and music are simply the next level and I am grateful to Valve for supporting our creative ambitions."

DOTA: Dragon's Blood is made by the renowned animation house Studio MIR (The Legend of Korra, Voltron: Legendary Defender and on the way The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf), with Ryu Ki Hyun as co-executive producer.

DOTA 2 is one of the leading online games in the world, hosts millions of players every day and holds multiple records for the best eSports tournament prizes. Launched in 2011 by Valve, the annual International DOTA 2 Championship paid over $ 150 million to its winning teams.
