Two students Madoka Kaname and Sayaka Miki, are approached by a strange being named Kyubey; he offers them to become young witches in exchange for a wish ... The aim of the witches is to face and defeat witches, evil creatures born of curses, responsible for murder, suicide and all kinds of cruelty.
For some reason, Homura Akemi, a schoolmate of theirs, will try hard to prevent them from signing such a contract.
