Master the Steamroller Studios animated film about martial arts

Animation artists from Central Florida's Steamroller Studios have acquired IP for an upcoming feature film from Jamaal Bradley's Pop Willy Productions, with the two studios joining forces to produce Master. Oscar-winning director Peter Ramsey (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, rise of the Guardians) is on board as the executive producer of the film, which debuted with its official teaser.

Master follows the story of Olivia, a promising martial arts champion, on a journey to guide her family towards what she believes is a better life. Along the way, Olivia discovers that the life she is leaving behind is what she should be striving for.

The release date of the film has not yet been announced.

Steamroller Studios offers high-end animation and cutting-edge technology for out-of-this-world storytelling and experience design for customers. They have contributed to major blockbuster movies, iconic theme park attractions, and popular video games, including Fortnite.

The Steamroller animated short Spice Frontier has received numerous official selections and awards (Dragon Con Independent Film Festival, Florida Animation Festival, SHORT to the Point, I'm Not Gonna Move to LA Festival, Independent Short Awards, Best Shorts Competition, Top Shorts). The film premiered online in June 2020.

Jamaal Bradley, head of Pop Willy Productions, is currently a senior animator at Valve Software in Seattle. Previously he worked as an animation supervisor at DreamWorks Animation. During his career spanning over two decades, he was a senior animator on Disney's Oscar nominated films (Rapunzel), DreamWorks (Puss in Boots, The Croods, The Croods 2, Penguins of Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda 3, Boss Baby) and Sony Pictures Imageworks (Surf's Up, Monster House).

Animated short film by Pop Willy Productions Substance was an official selection of the Beverly Hills Film Festival, British Animation Film Festival, Global Impact Film Festival, Harlem Int'l Film Festival, Langston Hughes African American Film Festival, San Francisco Black Film Festival and Urbanworld Film Festival.
