PBS KIDS to stop airing Canadian toon 'Caillou'

PBS Kids is the brand name for most of the children's programs broadcast by the Public Broadcasting Service in the United States, announced via Twitter that it will no longer broadcast the animated series of Pebble, "Composed of five seasons (144 episodes), Pebble is based on Hélène Desputeaux's book series and focuses on the four-year-old boy, who discovers the world around him with the help of his imagination. The series originally aired from 1997 to 2010 on Teletoon and Treehouse.

Despite receiving generally positive and harmless reviews, what is expected of colorful children's programs, Pebble has a vehement online hate base of angry parents, who are happy to say goodbye to the bald kid. Caillou seems to be a lot realistic for parents of young children, so much so that they have criticisms related to his whims, whining and patterns of misbehavior such as hurting his little sister, typical of all children in the world.
