Launch of 8 titles in June
Digital Media Rights revealed on Friday that it had licensed four new anime titles for its RetroCrush streaming service Titles The Saiunkoku story, Real tears, Mazinger Edition Z: The Impact!e Miss Machiko are new additions to the list of recent licenses acquired by the company.
The company also announced the release dates of eight anime titles that will air on its RetroCrush streaming service in June.
The titles will be released on consecutive Friday in June:
RetroCrush is a free video on demand service with advertising. The service has applications on iOS, Android, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Apple TVand smart TV, as well as being available in browsers. Service thrown out in March with 12 titles e additional Another 18 anime titles in May.
Digital Media Rights told ANN that its goal with the streaming service is "to serve as a community built for consumption and discussion about the golden age of Japanese animation (and some not so retro), since point of view of pop culture, fandom, art, Internet memes and more. "
The service plans to include a content library that "has not had adequate streaming versions outside of Japan".
RetroCrushTransmission partners include Discotek Media, TMS, NHK, Pierrot study, AMG and Happinet, among others.
