The short, directed by Vincenzo Alfieri and written by Vincenzo Alfieri and Federico Mauro, tells the afternoon of a young couple (Claudia Napolitano and Luka Zunic) who, going to the cinema to see a film, meet with great surprise the faces of actresses, actors and Italian directors in the guise of the most disparate professionals involved in cinemas: Edoardo Leo and Greta Scarano are also lined up as simple spectators, Alessandro Siani is at the cash desk together with Giulia Michelini and Sara Serraiocco, Lillo Petrolo and Paolo Calabresi are at the bar for selling soft drinks and popcorn, Elio Germano is the cleaner, while Pierfrancesco Favino and Anna Foglietta are busy checking tickets before entering. The "strange encounters" continue in the room where the young couple encounters the Vittoria Puccini mask, Barbara Bobulova and Michele Placido appear among the spectators, and in a succession of images the voice of Benedetta Porcaroli announces the start of the show, while Alice Pagani turns off the lights in the room. Finally, an exceptional projectionist, the Oscar-winning director, Giuseppe Tornatore, finally turns on the screen and the camera frames a pleased spectator who has the face of Toni Servillo.

The short film is an invitation to return to Italian cinemas in compliance with safety rules and protocols, including the Green Pass, to experience the magic of the big screen again. The communication campaign, carried out with the contribution of the Ministry of Culture, provides for the promotion of the spot in newspapers, TV, radio, as well as a launch on the official social channels of the Ministry Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and Tik Tok.
The preview on the latter platform at 10 am today will also mark the 'landing' of the Ministry on the entertainment platform most used by the younger generations and beyond.
“Thanks to the Green Pass and the new security measures, culture is starting up again. People are feeling safer and are returning to cinemas, theaters and museums. It is a very important fact, the pandemic has made us realize how much culture is the lifeblood of our lives. Thanks therefore to the whole world of cinema that joined with this short film to launch a choral appeal and invite Italians to return to the theater to experience the magic of cinema in safety ”, said the Minister of Culture, Dario Franceschini.
