Yamato has finally obtained the Cosmo Reverse System, but on the return journey to Earth, she is attacked by a fleet of Gatlantis, commanded by an ex-pirate, the evil Dolam Dagam. Meanwhile, Major Burger's fleet, who survived the battle at the Rainbow Cluster, is forced to give up hunting the Yamato! The intervention of a "witch" who captures the crew of Garmillas and the Yamato seems to turn the tide of the battle ... Kodai and the landing team find themselves prisoners in a hotel that, mysteriously, traces in all respects a structure to their family. The terrestrials will thus find themselves coexisting with the Garmillassians, technically their enemies. What outcomes will coexistence have? And what is the Gatlantis fleet up to, meanwhile?
