Diamond stopped all shipments to retailers in late March
The Hollywood Reporter The entertainment news website and the magazine's Heat Vision blog reported Friday that they confirmed with Diamond Comic Distributors that Diamond told retailers that it currently plans to restart shipments of new products by the end of May. The company has provided a "mid to late May" estimate for restarting shipments.
Diamond told retailers that it is monitoring the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) situation and is trying to find a "delicate balance between managing health and safety concerns, satisfying pent-up product demand, and working with retailers the whose situations differ, and whose product needs may have changed. Diamond Comic distributors announced in March it would block all shipments to retailers of products scheduled for release on April 1 or later, until further notice, and Diamond UK would have done the same for all products scheduled for March 25 or later.
