Funimation and Toei Animation will hold a global live streaming event to celebrate the 1.000th episode of the One Piece anime that airs November 20 at 15pm. PST. The event will be streamed on the official YouTube channels of Funimation and Toei Animation, as well as on the official One Piece Facebook page.

The thousandth episode of the One Piece anime will debut on November 14. Eiichiro Oda published the thousandth chapter of the original manga in this year's combined 5th / 6th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on January 4.

Toei Animation and Fathom Events will hold a special theatrical screening of the anime One Piece Film Strong World next month to celebrate the 1.000th episode. The film will be screened with English dubbing on November 7 and with English subtitles on November 9, in some US cinemas. The screening will also include the U.S. premiere of 3's One Piece 2011D: Mugiwara Chase film.

The series also inspired the "We Are One!" short dramatic videos to commemorate the 100th volume of the One Piece manga and the 1.000th episode of the One Piece anime. The miniseries premiered on August 30, with new episodes streaming every day.
