The hybrid live-action animated film “Tom and Jerry” - Trailer

Classic cartoon characters Tom and Jerry are reaching the big screen with a new hybrid film from Warner Bros., which puts beloved animated stars on a live-action comic adventure.

In the new trailer, we find Jerry settling into a posh hotel, while determined employee Kayla (Chloë Grace Moretz) enlists Tom's help to evict the big-eared troublemaker rat before it can ruin "the wedding of the century." The preview also features Michael Peña as Kayla's excited boss Terrance.

The release of the film Tom and Jerry is scheduled for March 5, 2021, after its original debut was scheduled for December. The new film marks the first big screen release almost 30 years after the previous one Tom and Jerry: the movie .

Tim Story (Barbershop, Fantastic Four, Ride Along) directs from a screenplay by Kevin Costello. The cast also includes Colin Jost, Ken Jeong, Rob Delaney, Pallavi Shara and William Hanna's archival vocal effects for Tom and Jerry. Chris DeFaria (The LEGO Movie 2, Looney Tunes: Back in Action) is the manufacturer.

Tom and Jerry is a production of Warner Animation Group and Hanna-Barbera Productions.
