To celebrate 95 years of the most famous bear in the world - Winnie the Pooh - Disney releases today a special animation, entitled Winnie the Pooh and "The Royal Adventure " starring Pooh and his Friends.

The new 45-second animation was created specifically to celebrate Winnie the Pooh's 95th anniversary and pays tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II who, in turn, is celebrating 95 years. In fact, next October 2021 it will be 95 years from the publication of the first ever story of Winnie the Pooh, and its arrival in the Hundred Acre Wood.

The magnificent animated tale sees Winnie the Pooh, along with her trusted friends, Christopher Robin, Piglet, Tigger and Eeyore, deliver a special gift to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. In this new adventure, the group, led by the adorable little bear, sets off on a journey from the Hundred Acre Wood to Windsor Castle.
The artist Kim Raymond has given life to this animation by creating, for the occasion, unpublished illustrations inspired by the classic style of EH Shepard.
Fans will be able to follow Winnie the Pooh and his Friends as they choose the perfect gift for the Queen: a giant honey pot hanging from 95 colorful balloons! The short also features a brief, yet moving presence of Her Majesty the Queen, and celebrates what the world has always loved about Winnie the Pooh over these 95 years: timeless charm, friendship and simple joys.

Winnie the Pooh illustrator Kim Raymond said: “It is always an honor to draw Winnie the Pooh and, even more so, when in the company of Her Majesty the Queen. I have been drawing Winnie the Pooh for over 30 years and continue to be inspired by the classic works of EH Shepard. Disney wanted to create a moving story fit for the world's most beloved bear that has touched the hearts of millions of people for over 95 years. I sincerely hope fans enjoy watching Winnie the Pooh and the Royal Adventure as much as I enjoyed creating it. "

Tasia Filippatos, Senior Vice President, Consumer Products, Publishing and Games, The Walt Disney Company EMEA commented on the initiative: “The stories of Winnie the Pooh hold a unique place in the hearts of millions of people around the world. The themes of friendship and simple everyday joys, after 95 years, are more current than ever, and we are happy to share this new story to give fans a way to celebrate this special anniversary ”.

Winnie The Pooh is no stranger to Her Majesty the Queen. It is believed that the young Princess Elizabeth was a fan of the classic tales of AA Milne and that she was given a porcelain set of Christopher Robin, with painted images of Pooh and his Friends. AA Milne's book, Teddy Bear and the Other Songs from When We Were Very Young, in 1926, was dedicated to Princess Elizabeth for her birth. More recently, in 2016, to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Winnie the Pooh and the Queen, it was released Winnie the Pooh and the royal birthday, where Pooh and the Queen finally meet for the first time.

To continue the Royal Adventure they are visible, exclusively in the Instagram Stories by shopDisney, unpublished illustrations by Kim Raymond. These illustrations will tell the story of what Pooh, Christopher Robin, Piglet, Tigger and Ih-Oh do on their return to the Hundred Acre Wood.
