“Resident Evil, Infinite Darkness” the horror anime series on Netflix

In addition to the recently announced live-action series, Netflix this weekend, at the Tokyo Game Show, announced that it will stream a CG horror-action series titled Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. Based on Capcom's hit video games, first released nearly 25 years ago, the animated series will bring new emotions to subscribers around the world in 2021.

With over 100 million units of the game series sold worldwide and even more advanced technology available to leverage the success of 2017's CGI feature with Resident Evil: Revenge, Netflix says it is planning an unprecedented full 3D CG experience for Resident Evil fans.

The production of Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness it will be produced and supervised by Hiroyuki Kobayashi of Capcom. TMS Entertainment (Lupine the 3rd, Anpanman, Detective Conan) will produce the series, while Quebico, led by Kei Miyamoto, the producer of Resident Evil: Revenge, will be responsible for the complete production of the 3D CG animation.

This will be a horror-action series based on the stories of the two famous characters, Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield. Adding suspense to dynamic action scenes, this series of resident evil will show a world unlike any video game or animated series seen before.

In the trailer, we see Leon and Claire against the backdrop of a blood splattered wall, silently waiting to face a new threat after cheating death over and over. The debut trailer features ultra-realistic, tense animation as we see Claire enter an abandoned building enveloped in dark night. Claire finds "something" while Leon saves "someone" in the dark ....)
