Let's Travel With Benjamin, the 1987 animated series
We travel with Benjamin (Spanish title: The llamada de los gnomos) is an animated series produced by the Spanish company BRB Internacional and Televisión Española about Gnomes. It was a spin-off from the animated series David Gnome. It was based on books The book of the secret of the gnomes by Wil Huygen.
Other sequels, both in serial and cinematic form, have been The great adventure of the gnomes (1995) The gnomes in the snow (1999) and The fantastic adventures of the gnomes (2000)
History
In this series the protagonist is a gnome named Klaus, a judge (aka "the wise man Klaus"), who travels with his assistant Danny about Henry the swan, trying to peacefully and wisely settle disputes and lawsuits between animals.
As in the David Gnome series, trolls also appear in this series. David himself appears in one episode.
The penultimate episode features Wil Huygen and his wife, the only human pair in direct communication with the Gnomes. Klaus and Danny complain to Huygen about "inaccuracies" in his book, although it is not specified what those errors are.
