Lucasfilm's new animated series "Star Wars: The Bad Batch" coming to Disney +

Disney + has ordered a new animated series from Lucasfilm, Star Wars: The Bad Batch. Critically acclaimed Star Warsi the battle of the clones, the original Disney + series will premiere on the streaming service in 2021.

The series follows the elite and experimental clones of "Bad Batch" (first introduced in The clone wars) as they find their way into a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate postwar period of the Clone Wars. The members of Bad Batch - a unique team of clones that vary genetically from their brothers in the clone army - each possess a unique singular skill that makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew. In the postwar era, they will embark on daring mercenary missions as they struggle to stay afloat and find new purposes.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch is produced by Dave Filoni (The Mandalorian, Star Wars the battle of the clones), Athena Portillo (Star Wars the battle of the clones, Star Wars Rebels), Brad Rau (Star Wars Rebels, Star Wars Resistance) and Jennifer Corbett (Star Wars Resistance, NCIS) with Carrie Beck (The Mandalorian, Star Wars Rebels) as executive co-producer and Josh Rimes as producer (Star Wars Resistance).
